OVPA are committed to opening the school for our pupils that need child care. These are children who have parents that must work to support the COVID-19 response and cannot be safely cared for at home.
The government has asked parents to keep their children at home and keep school open only for those children who absolutely need to attend. The fewer children in school, the lower the risk that the virus can be spread.
We are currently collating numbers from parents requesting support from school. Thank you to those who have responded to our first request. We need this information as soon as possible please so we can make plans for next week and check we have the correct ratios of staff to pupils, including those trained in first aid and safeguarding.
We will call you today to confirm whether your child has a place from Monday and to confirm your working pattern. Please do not turn up without having confirmation of your place. All pupils attending must report to the school office each day rather than use their normal entrances.
Thank you for your understanding with this matter. Please try to keep children safe, at home, where you can.
