We have now finished the whole of term 5- remotely for the majority of people. Despite not being in school, so many people are doing their best to keep things going. A huge well done to our families and children for showing some great resilience and very creative ideas.
To the OVPA staff that are working tirelessly from home and school, offering constant support and ideas to engage our pupils, I cannot thank you enough. More recently, our site and cleaning staff have fully returned to school. They have made an excellent start in cleaning and preparing the school for the forthcoming changes. What a superb team of people we have!
It is now time for a mini-break. Put the home-learning down, switch off the school Dojo, email and ParentMail notifications and relax a little. I have asked the staff to do the same. Even though restrictions are still in place, we all need a mental break too.
It will go a bit quiet next week and staff will not be doing their weekly phone calls or setting home learning tasks. If you have any concerns, please call school or email me: [email protected] as I would really like to give the staff a bit of down time where possible.
School remains open for children that are vulnerable and those of key workers. Equally, if those children would like a break, and are able to stay at home, they are very welcome. We will be having a ‘half term’ week at school too.
There will be a brief Term 5 Newsletter coming out this week to summarise the changes and keep you up to date with some staffing information.
For now, relax and enjoy the sunshine this weekend.
We continue to miss you all and hold you constantly in our thoughts.
Stay safe and well 🌈
