Welcome back! Term 6 has officially started and it’s all systems go as we prepare the school for a wider opening next week.
For all children that are returning from 8 June, two separate letters have been sent to you today. One confirming the group your child is in and the other publishing a revised list of dates to help you keep on track. There will be some other documentation heading your way tomorrow to help prepare your child and know what to expect.
For those still learning at home, this week’s activities have been posted on the school website in your child’s year group. Teachers will be checking in with you from next week via phone and Class Dojo.
This week a very thorough risk assessment was shared with the staff prior to them coming back to work. They have had daily training and updates to prepare them for next week. The school has been deep-cleaned and is looking very neat and tidy. We will post some photos over the next few days so you can see what the school is looking like and how we are adhering to the social distancing guidance.
We are very excited to welcome back pupils from nursery, reception, Year 1 and Year 6. We have lots of lovely things planned to help you feel settled. Our main focus is pupil wellbeing and safety. Big smiles all round!
With the limit of 15 pupils per class, we are filling up fast. Plans have been made around the responses given about attendance. If you decide you would like your child to return to school, please call yet school office first as we will need to see if we have a space and enough staffing.
We will keep you posted as things develop and we adjust to the new normal.
We hope you are safe and well.
