England in the World Cup Final

What a great start to the Autumn break with England Rugby Team winning the semi finals against New Zealand and now heading to the World Cup Final. Even if you’re not a rugby fan, what a great opportunity to see some amazing international sport being played. Good luck to both England and South Africa next Saturday.
October’s newsletter rounds up everything from Term 1 and highlights plans for Term 2. Please find a little time to browse the newsletter and read about the fabulous things the children (and adults) have been doing. The last page, outlining dates for Term 2, is particularly important. As we also sent the newsletter out in a paper copy, that page can be popped straight on the fridge for easy reference. I know how I need the school dates for my own children put somewhere very clear to help me remember!
This term, we held two workshops for parents. The EYFS Team provided a mini phonics lesson for our parents with children who have just started school. And Miss Sweeney, our Year 6 teacher, held a session to explain what the KS2 SATs were all about, for our eldest pupils. If you missed either of these workshops, the PowerPoint presentations can be found here, on the website, under ‘Parents’ Information’ in the ‘Parents’ section. Please do not hesitate to ask staff for further information about these workshops if you would like it. We are more than happy to help.
Have a great Autumn break and enjoy all the wonderful colours the season change is starting to provide. There are lots of fabulous events for children taking place this half term. Here are a few if you’re stuck for ideas:
