Following Boris Johnson’s announcement this evening, we will all have lots of questions and need greater clarity about the plan for schools to open to EYFS, Year 1 and Year 6, from 1 June.
Tomorrow, the Department for Education will provide further guidance and TKAT will also be supporting leadership in devising plans for phasing groups of children back to school. We will need to look at how we can keep to the social distancing guidance and most importantly, how we will keep our children, staff and families safe.
I know that this announcement may bring some worry and uncertainty to you, but please try to remain calm. Everything we do, will be with health at the forefront and we will not be compromising the safety of anyone. Our lovely community is far too precious.
I will keep you updated as soon as I have some more news but be assured that currently, nothing changes for schools. We only remain open for children that are vulnerable and of key workers. It is still safer to stay at home.
We will continue to support your children with their learning at home and are here to be contacted, if you need us.
Take care and stay safe.
